Shawn Rankin is the Chairman of PERFECT FIT HOLDINGS, INC and the Founder, President and CEO of PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC. Shawn is a licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where he received his Masters of Science Degree with Honors in Physical Therapy. He also earned Bachelor of Science (Physical Education) and Bachelor of Arts (Sports Studies and Management) degrees from Bemidji State University. Shawn is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Sports Physical Therapy Section, Orthopedic Physical Therapy Section, Private Practice Section, as well as the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
From 2000-2004, Shawn successfully co-owned and operated a six-facility outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy company in the Chicago, IL metro region. Shawn served as Director of Physical Therapy for his company which specialized in sports medicine, industrial rehabilitation, and athletic performance enhancement. His practice grew from a single facility with four employees to six facilities with eighty employees in less than four years. Through a skillful marketing campaign and superb patient care, these facilities managed nearly 5500 patient visits each month and generated over 9 million in yearly revenues.
Shawn founded PERFECT FIT HEALTH in May of 2004. He recruited a leading team of rehabilitation providers, physicians, fitness professionals, health industry experts, and a talented technical team. Shawn has dedicated several years to the research and development of an industry leading provider-facing solution called PERFECT FIT PRO, as well as extensive library of proprietary 3D exercise animations, pre-designed exercise programs, research-based digital care plans, and web-based / mobile applications that are leveraged to support the company’s consumer-facing solutions.
Over the past 15+ years Shawn has treated and advised thousands of patients and clients as a physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Understandably, these experiences have shaped his vision for the content, tools and solutions that inspire patients and consumers to take greater ownership of their health, rehabilitation and fitness. Shawn believes convenient and cost-effective new models of care are needed now more than ever, and the company’s innovative Hybrid (onsite-online-virtual) approach to physical therapy is just one example of this.

Dr. Michael D’Amato is the Chief Medical Officer for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC. In this capacity, Dr. D’Amato is responsible for overseeing the company’s clinical content development, and bundled care program design and delivery.
Dr. D’Amato is a Harvard graduate with over 21 years of clinical experience caring for patients as a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. D’Amato received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Harvard University. He attended Medical School at SUNY- Health Science Center at Brooklyn in New York City, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he trained with the team physicians for the New York Jets, New York Rangers, and New York Islanders professional sports teams. Dr. D’Amato then went on to complete an additional year of Fellowship Training in Sports Medicine at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, where he trained with the current team physicians for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox professional sports teams. Dr. D’Amato is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of both the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Thomas B. Quigley Sports Medicine Society. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. D’Amato has spent his career striving to create and provide the highest level of excellence in care for patients. Dr. D’Amato has significant expertise in the treatment of shoulder and knee injuries, with an emphasis on Sports Medicine Injuries and Arthroscopic procedures, as well as complex shoulder and knee reconstruction and joint replacement. He also is specially trained to care for cartilage and meniscal injuries in the knee. He has authored multiple textbook chapters, journal articles, and technique guides on orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation. He has served as a Master Instructor in both Shoulder and Knee Surgery for the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In his efforts to further advance, innovate, and improve the delivery of healthcare, Dr. D’Amato has served on multiple hospital and practice committees directly related to the design and implementation of patient care models and practice, coordination of care modeling, electronic medical record design, billing and coding process design, and payer modeling and contracting. He has a particular interest in value-based care and bundled payment modeling as a means of improving the quality and coordination of patient care, while creating a more cost effective utilization of healthcare resources.
Dr. D’Amato was introduced to Shawn Rankin and the PERFECT FIT HEALTH concept in 2010, and was immediately struck by the forward thinking and innovative approach to improving the way healthcare is delivered, recognizing its unique positioning to align incentives and meet the needs of all participants in the healthcare process, specifically the patients, the providers, and the payers. By providing solutions in line with the goals of each partner in the healthcare process, Dr. D’Amato sees PERFECT FIT HEALTH as a leader in the future innovation of healthcare delivery.
Michael Frank is the Chief Technology Officer for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC. In this capacity, Mike is responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. These responsibilities include building and managing a software engineering department; overseeing technical support; managing and overseeing product version releases; overseeing Server System Administrators and Engineers; and maintaining official product architectural and design documentation.
Mike has directed the company’s technology development on all products since 2005. Chief among his many accomplishments is the migration of the company’s software applications from a Flash-based environment to an Ajax-based system, allowing for greater cross-platform compatibility with an enhanced user experience. Mike also leads the company’s mobile development strategy.
Mike has seen first-hand the barriers and resistance to change that exist in healthcare. He has a deep passion for innovation and shares Shawn’s vision and keen interest to create engaging tools and solutions that make the world a healthier place.
Ted Stortz is the Chief Financial Officer for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC. In this capacity, Ted supports the company’s financial operations, billing systems, and accounts receivable services.
Ted has an extensive background in finance, administration and operations. He has been involved with a number of start-up and rapidly growing emerging organizations. Ted has been instrumental in developing company vision, mission and values statements; strategic planning; preparation of business plans; developed and implemented capacity planning models; performance measurement guidelines and formal bonus programs. He has held senior positions in manufacturing, service and software development companies. Ted is a graduate of St. John’s University and is a certified public accountant.
Ted has worked with Shawn and PERFECT FIT HEALTH for several years as a trustworthy and reliable financial advisor. Ted has seen the roller coasters that many entrepreneurs experience, and understands the time, effort, and work that goes into growing successful companies. Ted appreciates and shares the company’s vision, and continues to play a key role in moving the “ship” forward. Dr. Chris Bise is the Director of Clinical Research for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC. In this capacity, Chris is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the company’s research studies. Chris is a licensed Physical Therapist and a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist. He completed his undergraduate and graduate physical therapy training at Boston University in 1994 (BS) and 1996 (MSPT) respectively. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2009 at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Chris is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Orthopedic Section of the APTA, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
Chris’s early career was dominated by clinical work with a focus on back pain and orthopedic injuries to the knee and shoulder. In 2006, he was recruited to teach anatomy at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2008, he assumed a full time position and became responsible for instruction and coordination of the orthopedic curriculum. Since that time, Chris has begun to leverage available technology to develop innovative instructional environments to better prepare Physical Therapy students for clinical practice. The use of Social Media in these efforts is of particular interest.
In addition to his responsibilities at the University, Chris serves as the Legislative Chair of the Southwest District of the PPTA and is on the editorial board of Move Forward, the consumer website of the APTA. He is currently pursuing a PhD in clinical research through the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine.
Chris has spent 20+ years treating patients as a physical therapist, and much of the last decade educating and preparing physical therapy students for clinical practice and the changes ahead. Chris strongly believes the future for physical therapy is rife with opportunity but professional practice in its current state, operating under a fee for service model, is unsustainable. As healthcare is transformed, innovative delivery models that meet the needs of patients while providing value to patients and payers will begin to dominate reform efforts. Chris believes the company’s hybrid approach to physical therapy does just that and has the potential to transform physical therapy delivery. As patient’s become more enlightened consumers of care, cost and convenience will matter more than ever. Chris believes the engagement by the “digital” generation has been unbelievable, and a hybrid model that allows for conservation of dwindling healthcare resources, increased consumer convenience and compliance, and better communication, will change the landscape of rehabilitation.
Jared Lutz is the Director of Physical Therapy for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC. Jared’s duties are centered on refining the company’s Hybrid Physical Therapy model and helping to create and expand opportunities for patients and providers inside and outside the clinical setting.
Jared is a licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He attended the University of Minnesota where he received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. He also competed on the rowing team. His experiences as a college athlete dealing with injuries is what lead him to pursue physical therapy. He graduated from the Physical Therapy program at the University of Minnesota with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2008.
Jared has been a practicing physical therapist since then, and has worked in a variety of settings from small private practice to large corporate health care institutions including HealthPartners and Mayo Clinic. Most of his experience has been in orthopedics and sports medicine working with weekend warriors, professional and Olympic level athletes. Jared has worked under the guidance of several mentors both in business and in clinical practice. He has experience as a Sport Medicine Lead in a large corporate health care company and has seen first-hand how health care functions in a large institutional setting. In 2014, Jared was contracted by Mayo Clinic to help open their Sports Medicine Center in downtown Minneapolis and establish their Golf Medicine program. In 2015 Jared decided to explore a different physical therapy specialty, and left the clinic setting for home health care to focus on treating the geriatric population.
Through his years of experience, Jared has seen how healthcare is evolving and recognizes the needs of patients and consumers are changing. Jared is aware of the challenges many patients face due to the cost of treatment and the inability to fit physical therapy into their busy schedules. Jared recognizes that more convenient and affordable care is needed for people seeking physical therapy services. Jared appreciates that a significant number of patients would benefit from a convenient and cost-effective Hybrid model of physical therapy delivered in the comfort of their homes. This realization is what brought him to PERFECT FIT HEALTH and why he shares the company’s vision.
James Larson is the Creative Director for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC. In this capacity, Jim is focused on developing cohesive designs and elegant solutions that promote the company's mission. His responsibilities include creating and maintaining the look and feel of our web-based platforms, mobile applications, marketing materials, and exhibit design. Jim brings over twenty years of experience in corporate communications, eLearning design, interaction design, interface design, and multimedia design. His design sense is well grounded from the perspective of usability with a keen focus on connecting with the needs of the end user.
Jim attended Minneapolis College of Art and Design where he studied graphic design. Prior to joining the company, Jim spent the last twenty years utilizing his creative abilities by providing visionary solutions to companies such as 3M, St. Jude Medical, Medtronic, Cargill, MTS Systems, Jack Morton Worldwide, Carlson Companies, Northwest Airlines and many more. Jim has a passion for exceptional design that delivers results.

Kyle Rolfing serves as a strategic advisor for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC.
Kyle has a track record of successfully introducing disruptive innovation in the healthcare services and information technology spaces. Over his career, Kyle has gained a deep understanding of all phases of innovation, from ideation to market introduction to sustainable growth. He has successfully built and positioned new technologies, recruited and developed world-class teams, attracted top venture capital investors, created positive cultures of innovation, driven organic growth, executed on strategic acquisitions, and created significant value for shareholders. Kyle serves as board member and advisor to several health care start-up organizations where he provides strategic advice leveraging his experience as a health care entrepreneur.
Kyle is currently the President of Bright Health, a consumer focused health plan. Most recently, Kyle was a Principal of Savvysherpa where he led incubation efforts for companies that leveraged Savvysherpa's research and data analytics approach for the creation of innovative health care solutions.
Before this, Kyle founded and served as President and CEO of RedBrick Health, a company that has changed employerfinanced healthcare by introducing technologies to support broad-based consumer health engagement that leads to better employee health behaviors and lower employer costs. In his roles as President and CEO, Kyle grew RedBrick from $0 to over $30 million in revenue, with more than 40 Fortune 1000 clients, as well as clients from other channels, including health plans and benefit brokers.
Prior to founding RedBrick, Kyle founded and served as CEO and head of Sales, Marketing and Product Development at Definity Health. At Definity, Kyle led the creation of a new space in health benefits, establishing Definity as the preeminent brand providing consumer-driven healthcare benefit programs. He also built a world-class sales organization that grew revenues from $0 to $100 million (equivalent to over $2.5 billion in premiums). Kyle and his team were pioneers in the development of the account-based products associated with consumer-driven health and worked closely with the U.S. Treasury in creating the first-generation HRAs and HSAs.
When Definity was acquired by UnitedHealth Group in 2004 for $300 million, Kyle became a member of UnitedHealth Group’s Executive Leadership Team. In that role, Kyle led the company’s consumer-driven business, its fastest growing unit with more than 500 employees more than 1.5 million members and representing over $6 billion in healthcare spending.
Prior to founding Definity, Kyle was the head of Business Development for the Minneapolis office of Hewitt Associates, where he consulted primarily to Fortune 500 companies on health benefits and organizational development. Kyle started his career at Aetna, where he spent over seven years working in five markets with responsibilities that included care management, network development, and ultimately VP of National Accounts.
Kyle earned his M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, and is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a frequent speaker at national healthcare industry conferences and academic institutions.
Steve Pricco serves as a strategic advisor for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC.
Steve is the President of Innovo LLC. Innovo LLC is a privately held company that invests in small businesses and service providers with a primary focus of acquiring and investing in innovative healthcare organizations. In addition he serves as a managing partner and principal of Innovo Advisors LLC, a management consulting firm based in the Twin Cities. Innovo Advisors focuses on project leadership and management of key client initiatives in the areas of technology and operational performance.
Prior to co-founding Innovo LLC, Steve co-founded Validus Consulting Solutions in 2002. A management consulting firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Validus focused on identifying, solving and managing operating challenges for a variety of healthcare providers. Their primary areas of expertise included deploying technology to improve operations, implementing electronic medical records solutions and maximizing operational performance. Steve helped negotiate the acquisition of Validus by Vitalize Consulting Solutions, an SAIC Company, seeing the organization through a smooth and successful transition and integration.
Before Validus Consulting Steve was a Director and head of healthcare business development and delivery for The Gecko Group, a boutique consulting firm based in Minneapolis. Steve started his career at Deloitte Consulting in their revenue cycle practice with a focus on leadership and project management in revenue cycle redesign and Medicare reimbursement strategies for large integrated healthcare organizations.
Steve earned his Masters of Science from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, with an emphasis in healthcare and a BS from the University of Wisconsin with an emphasis in genetics. Steve enjoys golf, baseball, basketball, and coaching his kids in whatever sport they are currently engaged.
Erik Nelson serves as a strategic advisor for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC.
Erik is a co-founder of Innovo, LLC which invests in and advises early stage companies and other small businesses with strong growth potential. Erik is also co-founder of Innovo Advisors, LLC a healthcare management consulting firm that focuses on leading strategic initiatives, large-scale implementations, and complex business assessments. In addition to providing day-to-day leadership for these organizations, Erik specializes in providing strategic guidance, leading complex business assessments, supporting business development activities and providing project oversight for client initiatives.
Prior to this role, Erik co-founded Validus Consulting, a healthcare management consulting firm based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota that focused on deploying technology to improve operations, implementing electronic medical records solutions and maximizing operational performance. Kevin Roche serves as a strategic advisor for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC.
Kevin received a law degree and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He worked as a law clerk for a federal judge, at the Minnesota Attorney General’s office and at the law firm of Lindquist & Vennum. He was assistant general counsel at Park Nicollet Medical Center and American MedCenters before becoming General Counsel of UnitedHealth Group, a position he held during the company’s rapid growth and multiple acquisitions. Kevin then founded and ran the Ingenix (now Optum Insight) division of UnitedHealth. After leaving UnitedHealth, he has worked as an investor, legal and business advisor, and consultant in the health care field, including as a principal in Vita Advisors, LLC; as a senior consultant for Triple Tree and as founder of Roche Consulting. Kevin has served on the boards of several companies, including Virtual Radiologics, Genoa Healthcare, Tactile Systems, Medication Management Systems, Oak Street Health, Cogentix Medical, Pursuit Vascular and InfoMedics. Kevin researches and writes extensively on health care and other public policy issues. He has extensive experience in health care mergers and acquisitions, having participated in over 70 transactions with sizes up to several billion dollars.
Dr. Brian Nelson serves as a clinical/strategic advisor for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC.
Dr. Nelson graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1969 with a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering and spent the next five years as an Air Force fighter pilot including 238 combat missions in South East Asia. After resigning from the Air Force as a Captain, he attended medical school and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Minnesota. He opened a solo practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico and then relocated to northern Iowa practicing general orthopedics. It was in Iowa he became interested in spine and over the next 25 years he co-founded Physicians Neck & Back Clinics (PNBC) eventually expanding to 13 spinal clinics in 4 states. In 2009 PNBC – doing $14 million/year – was acquired by HealthPartners (HP) and he now is the PNBC Medical Director and a Senior Leader at HP.
Currently Dr. Nelson is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society as well as a past member of the American College of Sports Medicine. In addition to lecturing around the world, he has authored or co-authored 17 publications, several in peer reviewed journals including Spine and Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Nelson gained valuable experience in the business of health care co-founding a startup company called Prevention First and participating in three rounds of financing. Prevention First ultimately failed and he hopes the lessons learned from that venture will benefit PERFECT FIT HEALTH. Moreover, he directed PNBC to become an early user of the PERFECT FIT PRO software and has become an investor as well as a believer in PERFECT FIT HEALTH's vision to disrupt the current care model for musculoskeletal medicine.
Dr. Andrew Pearle serves as a clinical/strategic advisor for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC.
Dr. Pearle is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon at the Hospital for Special Surgery, specializing in Sports Medicine and Robotic Surgery. He is a team physician for the New York Mets. Dr. Pearle served as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Techniques in Knee Surgery. He has authored over 100 original scientific papers focusing primarily on ACL reconstruction and computer assisted and robotic surgery. Dr. Pearle’s clinical interests include arthroscopic and robotic surgery of the shoulder and knee.
A graduate of Amherst College and Stanford Medical School, Dr. Pearle completed his orthopedic surgery and sports fellowship training at HSS. As an attending surgeon at HSS, Dr. Pearle developed one of the first Computer Assisted Surgery programs in the United States. Dr. Pearle chaired the first NIH/American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons symposium on Computer Assisted and Robotic Surgery.
In addition to his responsibilities at HSS, Dr. Pearle is a team physician for the New York Mets and coordinates care for the minor league affiliates including the Brooklyn Cyclones. He has received numerous research awards and grants, including the prestigious OREF Career Development Award, the NYS Empire Clinical Research Award, the Caboud Memorial Award, and the first and second Computer Assisted Surgery International Fellowship Award. He presents his work widely at national and international meetings.
Dr. Ralph Bovard serves as a clinical/strategic advisor for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC.
Dr. Bovard is the Program Director for the HealthPartners Occupational & Environmental Medicine Residency in St. Paul, MN. He has been a staff physician at HealthPartners since 2000, with a brief stint in the Department of Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at the University of Minnesota Physicians (UMP) from 2012-2014. He was the lead for primary care orthopaedics & sports medicine at HealthPartners from 2005-2008. He is a past president of the Northland Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine [ACSM], an ACSM Fellow, and served on the national board of trustees of the ACSM from 2005-2008. He was a member of the ACSM committees: Exercise Is Medicine (EIM) initiative, Ad Hoc Committee on Obesity, Professionals Against Doping in Sport (PADS), and the American Fitness Index (AFI). He has special interests in optimal aging, fitness assessment, and the “industrial athlete”.
Dr. Bovard received an MD from the University of Minnesota in 1984. He is boarded in General Preventive Medicine from the University of Arizona (UA) with a focus in sports medicine. He has a Masters of Public Health degree also from UA. He has served as faculty for the ACSM international team physician course on two occasions, and lectures regularly for healthy lifestyles and wellness. He is a member of the Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) Committee for the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and a reviewer for Wilderness & Environmental Medicine journal. He has been a team physician for US Figure Skating, US Swimming, and Alpine Skiing since 1992 and was co-medical director for the US Figure Skating National Championships held in Minnesota in 2008. He has served as a missionary doctor in Papua New Guinea 1986-7, was an Everest expedition physician in 1989, worked as a ski clinic MD at Aspen/Snowmass (Colorado) 1990-93, a set physician for the films Cliffhanger & The River Wild, and served as a base doctor at Palmer Station in Antarctica 1996-7. He was a co-founder of Exos, Inc, a medical thermoplastic casting product, and served on the board and as CMO from 2007-2010. Dr. Bovard is a masters swimmer and Nordic skier. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife Marnie.
Vern Hanzlik serves as a strategic advisor for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC.
Vern has 30 years experience in technology and services with the last 20 years in software development. Vern is currently the CEO and President of Qumu, an enterprise video software platform company. Most recently, Vern served as the President of EMEA for TEAM Informatics, a global enterprise solutions and technology company. Prior to that, he co-founded Stellent, an enterprise content management software company that was acquired by Oracle in 2006 for $440 million and became the basis of Oracle’s E2.0 Fusion Middleware offering. Vern served in a variety of leadership roles, including product development, sales and marketing, and President and CEO. Following the sale of Stellent, Vern served in operational roles and as an advisor to several entrepreneurial software development companies.
Laurie Knutson serves as a strategic advisor for PERFECT FIT HEALTH, LLC.
Laurie has her MBA in Finance from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota and an undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.
Laurie started her career in Finance, managing the analysis and accounting functions for several local Health Maintenance organizations during a time of rapid change in the healthcare industry. In these roles, Laurie learned firsthand how to structure relationships for the benefit of all parties, particularly for patients and the clinicians providing their care. As the industry evolved, Laurie held several roles designed to innovate across the areas of Net Revenue Management in Care Delivery, ensuring that as new regulations and reimbursement models were implemented, Healthcare Systems could capture appropriate revenue and better manage the growing bad debt from self-pay patients.
Laurie is currently working with a start-up medical device company that offers a point of care diagnostic capability. She has also held Program Management, Product Development, and Systems Development roles at two leading health plan organizations. She led the development of an award-winning Smoking Cessation Program, and led the development of the first online Broker Quoting Tool, in the mid 1990’s. She also spent several years consulting in the Healthcare Advisory practices of CapGemini Ernst & Young and Pricewaterhouse Coopers. She had the opportunity to be involved in several national advocacy groups focused on accelerating adoption of emerging Health IT solutions.
Laurie spent several years working on the financial services side of healthcare administration serving as Sr. Vice President, Manager of Healthcare Payment Solutions at US Bank, and as a Business Unit Executive for FIS. The focus of these roles was to leverage the sophistication of electronic payment and eligibility solutions from Financial Services into Healthcare. As patients assume more of the financial responsibility for healthcare services through Consumer Directed Healthcare, Health Savings Accounts, Defined Contribution Plans, and Healthcare Exchange products, stakeholders across the ecosystem continue to innovate ensuring implementation of best practices.
Laurie’s most recent work spans several legacy and early stage companies that are bringing creative, and sometimes disruptive, solutions to healthcare, wellness, and population health. She is passionate about supporting entrepreneurs working to bring healthcare solutions and emerging technologies that optimize individual health outcomes, enable patient/provider engagement, and encourage healthy lifestyles. Laurie serves on two non-profit boards that focus on building healthy communities by engaging kids and young adults in active lifestyles, and supporting seniors aging in place. Laurie is also active in her church and in the local running community.

He has spoken at countless conferences and business meetings on topics ranging from interactive communications and training to social media and online marketing.
At the age of twenty-five Gary was president of a publicly traded Minnesota-based company. As an entrepreneur he has founded and/or co-founded twelve companies for which he served as CEO or president, and has helped many other entrepreneurs organize and fund their start-ups.
He has won over 100 major international and national awards for writing, producing and directing business communications. An acknowledged leader and innovator in interactive learning, he is the inventor of the HyperLearning methodology and a leader in developing business simulations and onboarding portals for major corporations. He has spent his life improving communication, developing talent, and creating marketing strategies for start-ups and Fortune 100 companies, specializing in medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations.
In a previous life, Gary produced and directed countless TV commercials, many specials for HBO, Showtime and Nickelodeon, and produced and co-wrote the Paramount feature film That Was Then, This Is Now starring Morgan Freeman and Emilio Estevez. He has been an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and has served on the MBA Advisory Board for Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is the author of two patents: a method of direct-to-patient marketing and clinical trials recruitment; and a method of search engine optimization.
